A handmade Necklace in a rainbow of found seaglass pieces.
I had so much joy designing and making this piece, it would be very difficult to find the full rainbow of colours in seaglass, especially locally, so this is just a few different coloured pieces.
I often spend time wandering along my local coastline and sometimes find sea treasures in the form of seaglass. So I’ve hand picked a few pieces that had the best shape and colour to set into a necklace. This is a very simplistic design to show as much of the glass as possible. The seaglass is untouched as much as possible. I’ve used recycled fine & sterling silver.
Knotted Rose Jewellery uses traditional silver smithing techniques to make the jewellery in a small studio situated on the South Coast of England. It’s just a short drive from the beautiful coastal scapes of the Wittering beaches. This stunning coast line heavily influences the work with beach textures/colours throughout many designs.
Seaglass found at Bracklesham Bay
The necklace measures approx 17 inches with an extender to 18 1/2 inches. Recycled sterling silver belcher style chain.
Largest seaglass charm measures approx 11mm by 9mm.
The Seaglass colours included, according to the Seaglass Index are as follows;
Deep Amber, Light Olive Green, Kelly green, Light teal blue, Jade Green, Cobalt blue, Warm Gray.
